A public meeting on Marcellus Shale drilling in the city is planned for Thursday in Lawrenceville.

City Councilman Patrick Dowd is hosting the meeting, which will focus on the rights of property and business owners as well as the issue of protecting city resources including waterways, riverfronts and street infrastructure.

It will also include a panel discussion.

The meeting is 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Teamster Temple, 4701 Butler St. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
