Stacy Innerst is the artist. You are the caption writer.
It's always a wonderful thing when three first-time winners emerge in the caption contest, as was the case with CapCon 136. For the odd campfire roast, lots of folks tried wordplay related to cookbooks or cooked books -- judges saw the version from Jarrod Takah of Scott as the hottest among them. Now all are invited to join in what should be a gold mine of offerings for CapCon 137.
Send up to three entries to page2@post-gazette.com or mail to: Caption Contest/Portfolio, Post-Gazette, 34 Blvd. of the Allies, Pittsburgh PA 15222. Please include name and address and identify your municipality or city neighborhood. Deadline: Aug. 2. Winners receive a PG umbrella, which we don't recommend using to try to beat out a Marcellus Shale well fire.

Carl felt freedom he'd never known -- cooking the books under a star-lit sky instead of the accounting department.
