Roving police patrols throughout the city of Pittsburgh following the St. Patrick's Day parade yielded eight arrests for drunken driving.
The statistic is for the hours between 6 p.m. Saturday and 4 a.m. today.
Some 77 traffic stops were made; 44 citations and 29 warnings issued; three vehicles towed; and six arrests listed in the category of "other" were made.
A news release from the city police indicated that officers responded to 18 fight calls on the South Side as well as three motor vehicle crashes.
