Pirates, Braves canceled after three innings by rain
Friday, March 12, 2010

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- The Pirates' game with the Atlanta Braves was called after three innings by heavy, steady rain Friday at Champion Stadium.

The Braves' decision to start the game was conspicuous in that every other Grapefruit League game in Florida was canceled by a storm system blanketing the entire state.

Ross Ohlendorf pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings before the first of three rain delays. Ronny Cedeno hit an RBI double in the third.
