When Jay Leno returns to the "Tonight Show" on March 1, will anybody be watching? Based on his guest list for the month, all signs point to "you betcha."
According to his official site, Leno has booked a slew of famous faces for his much-anticipated and highly-debated comeback, beginning with Jamie Foxx and Olympic champion Lindsey Vonn.
The following night, Leno will play host to former vice presidential candidate-turned-Fox News correspondent Sarah Palin (March 2). And if that wasn't enough, Leno will then interview the cast of MTV's wildly popular reality show "Jersey Shore," March 3.
"Top Chef" host Padma Lakshmi gave birth this weekend to a baby girl named Krishna. Her publicist told the New York Post, "Padma has no interest in sharing with the public the identity of the father," Popeater.com reports.
Angelina Jolie and her father Jon Voight have been famously estranged for years, but photographers caught Voight enjoying a sunny day in Venice, Italy, this weekend with his daughter, Brad Pitt and a few of the grandkids. RadarOnline reports that Jolie and Voight have been working on a reconciliation for months, but the family outing marks their first recent public appearance.
According to MSNBC, a source close to the couple says that Pitt is behind the reunion. "Since [Pitt and Jolie] have been together, Brad has been encouraging Angie to smooth things over with her dad," the source said. "And when it comes to the kids, Brad wants them to know their grandfather the way the kids know his parents."
Jolie and her father parted ways in 2001 when Voight made a television appearance stating that his daughter needed help for "her serious mental problems."
In 2002, Jolie stated, "My father and I don't speak. I don't hold any anger toward him. I don't believe that somebody's family becomes their blood. Because my son's adopted, and families are earned."
Jolie and her family are in Venice while she prepares to film "The Tourist" with Johnny Depp.
Cameron Douglas' girlfriend, Kelly Sott, pleaded guilty Monday to a misdemeanor drug charge in a deal with the feds that will likely see her avoid further jail time, Eonline.com reports.
Sott, 33, admitted in Manhattan federal court to possession of amphetamines. In return, the U.S. Attorney's Office agreed to drop the more serious charge that she tried to smuggle heroin in an electric toothbrush to Michael Douglas' eldest son while he was under house arrest last summer.
Prosecutors state in court docs they will not pursue further criminal charges for her "participation in a methamphetamine distribution conspiracy" with her actor beau or for "her participation in the distribution and possession with intent to distribute heroin."
Douglas, 31, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute drugs and heroin possession after he was collared last July. The third-generation member of the Hollywood dynasty struck a deal of his own that will include a minimum 10-year sentence.
Douglas' sentencing is set for April 27. As for Sott, because she's already served more than the six-month sentence suggested by federal guidelines. She's due to be released in the next few weeks. She'll also face a maximum fine of $5,000.
After nearly four years of dating, Ryan Phillippe and Abbie Cornish called it quits. If reports about Phillippe's infidelity are to be believed, then Cornish should have adhered to the adage, "If he cheats with you, he'll cheat on you."
Last May, Page Six reported that Phillippe was partying with several blondes in Cannes - and Cornish was nowhere to be seen.
In December, The National Enquirer (via The Insider) claimed that the "Bright Star" actress was fed up with his philandering ways. "Ryan and Abbie are on the rocks because he's back to his horndog ways. He's been hitting the clubs regularly and desperately trying to hook up with almost every young woman he meets. His womanizing has gotten so out of hand, it's like Abbie never existed," a source said, according to Popeater.com.
But should Cornish be surprised? Not if she stops to think about how she and Phillippe came to be.
A judge says Michael Jackson's father can receive medical records related to his superstar son's death.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff ruled Friday that Joe Jackson can receive his son's medical records from the hospital where he died on June 25.
Jackson's attorney, Brian Oxman, sought the files as part of an effort to obtain a monthly stipend for the Jackson family patriarch. He said during a hearing last week that he also needs the records to decide whether to pursue a wrongful death lawsuit.
Jackson's estate opposed releasing the records to Oxman and Joe Jackson.
Beckloff is limiting the release of records and requiring Oxman and any experts who review the files to sign confidentiality agreements.
Police on Friday arrested a man prohibited from contacting Audrina Patridge outside the reality star's Los Angeles home.
Zachary Loring, 24, was arrested around 8 a.m. after he was seen knocking on the door of "The Hills" star's home, Los Angeles police Sgt. Kyle Kirkman said.
Officers responded after receiving a 911 call and Loring was arrested without incident, Kirkman said. Loring was not carrying a weapon, he said.
Loring was being held Friday afternoon on $160,000 bail on suspicion of stalking and violating a court order. It was his second arrest outside Patridge's home.
Patridge, 24, obtained a three-year restraining order against Loring in September. She testified at a hearing that she was afraid after Loring repeatedly came to her house and gave her disturbing drawings.
"Audrina is safe and unharmed and she is going about her day as usual," her publicist, Jennifer Shoucair Weaver, said in a statement Friday.
Jail records did not indicate whether Loring has an attorney.
