All county, state and federal offices and courts will be closed Monday in observance of Columbus Day. City offices will be open, and garbage collection will occur on the regular schedule.
Port Authority transit service will run on regular schedules. State Department of Transportation driver's license and photo centers will be closed.
There will be no mail delivery, except for Express mail. State liquor stores are open.
Pittsburgh's Italian-American community will celebrate Columbus Day with a parade this morning on Liberty Avenue in Bloomfield. The parade begins at 11 a.m. and will close Liberty from Baum Boulevard to the Bloomfield Bridge, and some side streets, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
