One person was killed this afternoon in a one-vehicle crash on Route 22-30 in Hanover, Washington County, state police said.

The crash happened about 4:30 p.m. when a van carrying seven people suddenly lost control and veered off the road, police said.

The victim's age and name were not released, and it was unknown whether anyone else was hurt.
