Three white men who used to work for the Pittsburgh Housing Authority are suing the agency, claiming they lost their jobs because of age, gender and racial bias.
Joseph Surmacy, Robert Dusch and John Kaschauer are all 45 and all worked for the authority for at least 18 years before they were fired in May 2007 for "budgetary reasons."
The men have filed a federal lawsuit saying that after they were fired they were not told about city jobs for which they were qualified. Instead, they claim, those jobs were all filled by younger women or black applicants.
The authority hasn't commented on the lawsuit.
