He didn't look bad on a line with Steve Sullivan and Cal O'Reilly, even though he was playing out of position. He added a nice dimension to the No. 2 power play, as well, even though the second unit isn't exactly his natural habitat. (Today)

Buffalo Coach Lindy Ruff broke three ribs in what was described as "a freak accident" after he was upended by defenseman Jordan Leopold in practice Monday. Ruff was hurt near the end of practice during a puck-chase drill when Leopold was trying to cut off forward Ville Leino. (Today)
Phil Kessel scored twice and Mikhail Grabovski assisted on Toronto's first two goals to lead the surging Maple Leafs past the visiting Edmonton Oilers, 6-3. The Oilers played without coach Tom Renney, who stayed back at the team hotel after taking a puck in the head during the morning skate. The cut required stitches and left Renney experiencing headaches. (Today)
