Roger Waters, co-founder and principal songwriter of the English progressive band Pink Floyd, is commemorating the 30th anniversary of the original release of "The Wall" with a monumental show featuring a full band and a newly-mounted state-of-the-art production of his epochal masterpiece.

Released in 1979, "The Wall" is a rock opera and Pink Flloyd's ninth studio album. It centers on a man named Pink who encounters obstacles throughout his life, beginning with the loss of his father during World War II, continuing with abuse from his schoolteachers, an overprotective mother and the desertion of his wife --- all of which factor into Pink's isolation from society.
